There were times I would bring some of these books while driving and would just read at a traffic light, if only it was for a few sentences.
1- Stock up on snacks to keep motivated. Get healthier snacks for keeping energy throughout the day. Focus on protein, things like trail mix, baked or veggie chips, cheese sticks, etc. Nobody wants to lose their train of thought because they got hung...
Basically, a bunch of insane idiot authors get together in November and say "You know what? We don't want to survive this month." And we all sit down and pledge to write 50,000 words in 30 days. If you actually do it, there are some prizes for writing sof...

Great information for publishing with Amazon's CreateSpace. It's always helpful to know what you are getting into and have the advice you need as you move through the book publishing process. Thanks so much!!
As a non-violent person, it's sort of funny that I gravitate towards horror stories, movies and writing. I just like to go where the dark things are and explore that realm to see what I can bring into the light, and see what other writers have created. I...

I love this! For me, whenever I have to write a violent type post for my roleplays or when I wrote Prey, I tapped into my feelings and emotions when I was bullied in high school, or when people were cruel to me. It helped to figuratively purge them.
Today, we're delving into the Paranormal Romance realm. This is a genre that this reviewer doesn't read and so this is a first. My personal tastes run in the horror genre which is, under ordinary circumstances, a far cry from romance. As it's always a goo...
Yeah, ok, play on words. Maybe you're groaning, screaming at the monitor "How could she!!". I could because it's before 6am and at only 1/4 cup of my hazelnut coffee so it sounded like a good title to me.
I've been musing about muses. I've heard peo...

Good points; I think if I had muse(s) I'd find that my friends are often inspiring. You have to take the time to listen to them and learn, then the inspirational thought flows.

A good way to stir creativity is to look at what's stirring debates and discussions and then focus on that for a story, whether brief or as part of a novel. In most cases, what is circulating as most popular topics will be thought provoking, emotion stirr...

But many fail to realize that as a writer, your job is to make others question what they think, feel... what they believe they know. The writing that always stands out the most is what sticks with the reader long after they've walked away from the writing.
Current events are a great example. I've found that examining fears is another good one. There are so many things that are universal human "fears", it makes you wonder at what point in our evolution did we all decide certain things were terrifying? Writers and creative people definitely are more open to exploring their own thoughts and beliefs, normally, but it helps always to put yourself in another's frame of mind and to be able to say "What if..?" less
